Two candian win their first stanley cup in 1989

  May 27th 1989 was the day that players Dave Ellett and Mark Napier won their first Stanley Cup together as members of the Edmonton Oilers. They were two relatively unknown players before they joined at the trade deadline for Jeff Beukeboom and Dean Talafous. The only thing anyone knew about them was the fact they won the Memorial cup in 1984 with the London Knights. Eliott and Napier didn't waste any time getting into their groove in Edmonton.
